Recording & Rehearsal Rooms in Glasgow

We aim to provide the highest level of service at a price musicians can afford. We want to become a major force behind new music in Glasgow and provide expert help at every opportunity. Whatever the request, House Practise can give you the help you need.

We have great contacts with managers, A&R, Labels, Tour Managers, Lighting Engineers and Session Musicians. We aim to cater for all needs.

Recording & Rehearsal

We have two Studios at two different locations in Glasgow. At Abercromby Business Centre we have three large rehearsal rooms, fully kitted out with Mackie PA Systems, Pearl Drum Kits, Marshall Stacks, Ashdown and Ampeg Bass Rigs and SM58 Vocal Mics.

We also have a state of the art Recording Studio with a large live room with fantastic views of the city. The studio is perfect for full bands or solo artists, choirs or string quartets.

We have a large selection of microphones and our qualified engineers have over a decades worth of experience. Woodenbox with a Fistful of FSivers, Twin Atlantic and Aerials Up all take rooms full time. There is free secure parking and a large goods lift which makes access easy for small or large bands.

We have also started to run the 'Star Maker' programme where people of all ages can come and record their favourite tracks in preparation for TV show auditions. We can also mix and master any material you have previously recorded.

Rehearsal Only

At House Practise we have five Rehearsal Studios at Dixon House, fully kitted out with Marshall Guitar Amps, Mackie Mixing Desks and Speakers, Ampeg and Ashdown Bass Rigs, SM58 Microphones and Pearl Drum Kits. All Located 100 yards from the St Enoch Centre Underground Station.

How to Book

You can make a one off booking or take a block booking at a reduced rate. You can make a booking from 1 to 8 hours a day at our recording studio.

Studio time is £25 an hour, 8 hours is £175. All tracks fully mixed and mastered.

Special Offers

Before 6pm all rehearsal time is charged at £15 for three hours during the week. Saturday – Sunday rehearsal time is charged at £25 for three hours at Abercromby Street.

At Dixon House during the week after 6pm, Rooms 1 , 2 and 5 are £25, Room 4 is £20 and Room 3 is £22. All £15 before six and full price at weekends.
